We are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Co-ordinator to join our Technical Department in Jersey working closely with the Head of Design, Technical Managers, and the wider project team to support the delivery of high-quality residential and mixed-use developments.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure across the full design and delivery lifecycle — from planning support and detailed design through to construction, sales, and handover. As Technical Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process using external consultants, while supporting internal teams across Technical, Construction, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial functions.
You will play a key role in ensuring technical information is produced accurately, on time, and in line with statutory, planning, and programme requirements.
What you will do
Coordinate the design process using external architects, engineers, and consultants.
Prepare and manage architectural working drawings from planning through to Building Regulations, tender, and construction stages.
Support the clearance of planning conditions, coordinating technical information with consultants and internal teams.
Assist with the preparation of planning application drawings and supporting documentation.
Write and maintain build, sales, and marketing specifications.
Review, check, and approve supplier and manufacturer information.
Prepare accommodation schedules, legal plans, and sales drawings.
Produce AutoCAD drawings to support sales literature, brochures, CGIs, and marketing models.
Coordinate the preparation of sales area plans and show home drawings.
Monitor design and information release programmes to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Attend project coordination and site meetings, producing minutes where required.
Manage RFIs and technical queries, ensuring timely resolution.
Liaise with warranty providers and Building Control authorities, maintaining approval trackers.
Carry out site visits and inspections as required.
Maintain accurate digital and hard-copy technical records in line with company procedures.
Support and mentor trainees and junior team members within the Technical Department.
Promote a “safe by design” approach, supporting Health & Safety compliance throughout the design process.
About You
You will be an organised and technically capable professional with experience working within a housebuilding or residential development environment.Key requirements:
Proven experience in a technical role within a housebuilder or residential developer.
Degree / HND / HNC in Architectural Technology, Construction, or a related discipline.
Proficient in AutoCAD (essential).
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe packages.
Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
Experience working on residential and/or mixed-use developments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work to deadlines, and use initiative.
Confident working with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
