“I joined Dandara in 2019 as a Planning Coordinator and have since been promoted to Planning Manager for Dandara Northern Home Counties. I am responsible for all immediate and strategic planning matters for the region and work closely with the Land team on site bids and acquisition. Dandara has doubled in size since I joined and I am proud to have played a key role in the growth and expansion into other areas. At times, planning can be extremely frustrating and high-pressure, but I am lucky to be surrounded by brilliant people across the business. The team dynamic here at Northern Home Counties has played a pivotal role in our success. I am proud of our achievements as a team and individually during my time here so far. I'm ready to face the next challenge!”

I started out in sustainability as a consultant working with a global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in a variety of sectors, including real estate, construction, infrastructure and manufacturing. I then furthered my knowledge and skills in subsequent roles, building up a foundation of experience along the way, which has proven crucial in the progression of my career in the ever-evolving field of sustainability. None more so than in recent times, where developers have moved from viewing environment, social and governance (ESG) matters as primarily compliance issues, to recognising the opportunities for innovation, added value creation and market differentiation. I have found the same motivation at Dandara to tackle the collective ESG challenges of the built environment sector, such as Net Zero Carbon, biodiversity loss and social value. The most rewarding aspect of my role is the positive engagement and collaboration that I have seen across the Dandara group, which reflects how ESG plays a part in our day-to-day activities.”

My day-to-day role is to ensure the smooth running of Aston Place, aiming to maximise rental income & low voids, thereby maximising returns and increasing the value of this investment property for our owners. I provide first-class customer service to residents, creating a community feel through communication, events and innovations. I help develop and maintain a robust resident engagement strategy and lead the delivery of the events set out within the strategy. Prior to this, I worked in hospitality for more than 2 decades, the sector has given me great valuable transferable skills, enabling me to be innovative, creative and provide excellent customer service to our residents. Our team's goal in a Dandara Living development is to make the best personal experience possible for our residents and create great special memories while living with us.”

Shortly after I was offered a role in HR with a Construction company, and I worked my way up to become Assistant HR Business Partner, going on to hold regional HR Business Partner roles with other House Builders where I learned many invaluable skills. I joined Dandara in December 2022 as HR Business Partner for UK Housebuilding currently partnering all six regions including office and site-based employees. Every day is different in HR and the variety keeps me on my toes! Since joining the business I have been made to feel extremely welcome and I am proud to be part of the Dandara team.”

My role has given me the opportunity to help Dandara establish itself as one of the leading quality housebuilders in South Wales and the West of England. So far, I've managed the planning delivery on three sites in Wales, which will deliver more than 350 houses within the region. I find my role exciting but challenging! The challenging element centres around dealing with and manoeuvring through the complex realms of Town Planning. In my current role, I have also had the opportunity to get involved in championing and driving Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) principles not just for Dandara but also for the HBF and RTPI by becoming an Ambassador for those organisations. It is my confidence that with the support of my MD and Director, I will continue to positively contribute to the success of this region's business. ”

Every day is different in sales, so for me, I feel fortunate to be able to combine being in the office with being out on site throughout my week, as it means I get to see both sides of the business. Dandara have supported me in my growth within the business and are very good at promoting from within and helping you achieve your full potential. I am proud to be part of the Dandara family and I look forward to what the future holds.”
Read More“Having secured a position with Dandara as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, I was keen to learn on the job. Dandara has always let me progress at the speed that I wanted to and I was running my own project within the first three years of joining the company. I have recently been given the opportunity to advance my career and step into a management role which has brought new challenges. This role can be very demanding but very rewarding, passing on the skills and knowledge I have to others. I know that Dandara will support me not only in any role that I may take in the future, but also if I want to complete my RICS professional chartership.”
Read More“I joined Dandara in 2021 to fulfil the MEP internal team as a BIM Modeller. A few months later Dandara had a big change in some internal processes and needed a BIM manager, I was then invited to assume this position. Since then, I worked collaboratively with the team geared towards developing the Business information requirements and various workflows in order to achieve an efficient delivery process. Currently, I oversee the BIM execution of most of the BTR schemes, and I am developing a process to create 4D animations for construction and logistics sequences. For me, who is a great enthusiast about BIM, innovation and collaboration, Dandara represents a fantastic place to work. Besides, the business always believed in me, so I am strongly grateful to Dandara.”
Read More“I started out as a H&S advisor but then soon got a chance to join a developer as an assistant site manager where I worked up to site manager. I then transferred over to a large developer as a Site manager on their biggest development in the region of over 800 units and was promoted to senior site manager and ultimately a project manager. Site management is a high pressured role but one I love. I am now a Construction Manager for Dandara’s South East region, working initially on the flagship development, 1887, and then overseeing all the sites in the region.”
