    Tenancy Credit Controller

Join the Finance Team at Dandara Living as a Tenancy Credit Controller – Altrincham

Dandara Living is a leading division of the Dandara Group, delivering and managing high-quality homes across the UK’s fast-growing Build to Rent sector. Operating a substantial and expanding portfolio, we continue to onboard new assets and clients as demand for professionally managed rental communities grows.

As part of this continued expansion — including growth and new asset onboarding — we are strengthening our Finance team and are now looking for a Tenancy Credit Controller to join us at our Altrincham head office.

This is a key role within our Accounts team, supporting the Client Accounting Manager and working closely with Property Management to ensure strong rent collection performance and proactive arrears management across our portfolio.

    About the Role

As Tenancy Credit Controller, you’ll take ownership of tenant account management across rent, service charges, parking and associated fees. You’ll play a crucial role in protecting cash flow, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a professional and fair approach to arrears management.

This role requires confidence, attention to detail, and the ability to balance firm credit control with strong customer communication.

    Working Pattern

    • 37.5 hours per week
    • Monday to Friday
    • 1 hour unpaid lunch break
    • Office-based in Altrincham, with flexibility in line with team arrangements

    What You Will Do

    • Monitor tenant accounts to ensure timely payment of rent and associated charges
    • Issue statements, copy invoices and arrears letters in line with company procedures
    • Proactively follow up overdue balances via phone, email and written correspondence
    • Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
    • Work closely with Property Managers to resolve queries and disputes
    • Monitor failed Direct Debit reports and take prompt action
    • Prepare pre-legal documentation (S8/S21) and escalate cases appropriately
    • Refer persistent arrears cases to legal partners in line with policy
    • Support the AR team with reviewing unsettled cash receipts
    • Produce reports on arrears performance and payment trends for management
    • Contribute to improving credit control processes and systems as the portfolio grows

    What You Will Have

    • Previous experience in an accounts receivable, credit control or finance administration role
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Confident working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. MRI-Qube, Coins or Yardi)
    • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence handling sensitive conversations
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

    Desirable

    • Experience within property management or real estate
    • Familiarity with service charge or leasehold accounting
    • CICM qualification (or working towards) or QBE

    What We Will Offer You

Joining Dandara Living means becoming part of a market-leading and award-winning Build to Rent, SFH and PBSA operator. As our portfolio continues to grow, so do the opportunities within the business.

    Our package includes:

    • Competitive salary £28,000–£32,000 dependent on experience
    • Competitive discretionary annual bonus
    • 33 days holiday including bank holidays
    • Up to 5% matched pension contributions
    • Private medical insurance
    • Life assurance (x3 salary)
    • Access to our employee benefits platform
    • Opportunity to grow as the business scales
